Charlie Horner was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1950. He began his journey into the art of Ventriloquism at the tender age of 12 and mastered his craft quickly. With great ventriloquists like Paul Winchell and Jimmy Nelson it was easy to find a role model. By age 14, Charlie had won his first talent show at the same country music park where Loretta Lynn and many others had performed. He also had the opportunity to perform with a variety of country music singers. His talent bloomed and offers to travel came often.
As the years passed, it became difficult to find a craftsman to create Charlie's own custom figure. In time, Charlie's prayers were answered and in 1978 Chester T. Leroy came about. Charlie realized that with the answer to his prayer, God had called him into ministry. Through the ministry of Gospel Ventriloquism, Charlie has witnessed many souls won for the Lord. And God's calling continued to open doors for Charlie and the Boys. He has worked on television shows, taught at colleges and shared the concert stage with many Southern Gospel Singing Groups. His quick wit and charm have filled numerous roles as Master of Ceremony where his polished form and humor have entertained many.
